George was born in New York state in abt. 1812 according to the 1860 census. His wife Nancy was also from New York state. They had 4 children in 1860 census: Susannah-F/18, William (my gg-grandfather)-M/16, Humphrey ? (handwriting very illegible)-M/12 and Francis-F/3. The oldest three children were born in NY state and Francis was born in Michigan where they moved to. They lived in Richland, Kalamazoo Co., Michigan in 1860. Any information about George and Nancy themselves or their ancestors would greatly be appreciated since I have hit a brick wall.
