I have the very same feeling about my Fisher line. I do know that my Christian Gottlieb FISHER, born April 1843 in Wuerttemberg, Germany, came to the USA approximately 1850. When he enlisted in the Union Army in 1861, his family lived in Woodville, Sandusky County, Ohio. I do not know the names of his parents or siblings. He married in Missouri after the war.
