Am seeking information on Comfort Fisher who was in Chittenden Co., VT in 1800, Steuben Co., NY in 1810 and St. Clair Co., IL by 1820. He may have been the father of my Isaac Fisher who was born 1802 in New York, possibly Cayuga County. Comfort married Mary Andrews (b. CT) whose father's name was Isaac. My Isaac Fisher named his first son Isaac Andrew Fisher. I have also found the name Isaac Benoni Andrews in Chittenden Co., Vermont, and my Isaac Fisher named a son Elisha Benoni. My Isaac Fisher left New York abt. 1852 and came to Tippecanoe Co., Indiana. In the 1880 census he gives his father's b/p as VT and his mother's b/p as CT. Any help appreciated.
