My great grandmother was Mary M. Fisher, who married first Charles Elmer Eby, and then William Puterbaugh. Her parents were George Michael Fisher and Mary Catherine Barklow, and they were from the Lena, Illinois area. They moved to that area from Pennsylvania in the latter 1800's. If we are that would be great - I'm just north of Tupelo - only about 60 miles from you! Margie Hudson Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I believe the 1895 one lists your Fishers. Father is John, age 47 and mother is listed as Magie This census was done in Frontenac, Ks. Names and dates of birth of the children about the same as in your post. If you need a copy, email me at bbaugh1@cox. net and I will send it to you. Hoping you are having a Merry Christmas. Many family files have mother born either 1655 or 1665 which makes the mother 56 or 46 which are both unlikely. there is also a record of Mary Fisher marrying her first husband in 1709 --- see : http://files.usgwarchives.net/pa/philadelphia/church/philadelphiamm01.txt Church: Philadelphia Monthly Meeting of Friends, Authorized Marriages, 1682-1756, Philadelphia, PA. On the reverse of the photo frame reads: May 4, 1947 5th Wedding Anniv." I found it at an old antique shop in Illinois. They said that when photos and other documents don't sell, they throw them away. They were getting ready to do just that. This is a true original photo of this couple in a pinstrip wool blazer and skirt and an anniversary veil cap for her and both wearing his/hers boutinnierre's. They made a beautiful couple. He is a looker. Definitely looks English. Someone in the family added intricate ink scrolling to embellish the self enclosed matted frame. This frame stands alone. It also appears that Lee may have a cleft lip or some scarring on the left upper lip area. She is a classy lady. Nails polished, proper posture, and head held high. Not too many woman do that nowadays when posing for a photo. I bought it with a mission to find its' rightful owners. I am searching for the family with this last nam! e who may be the rightful owners. My only intention is to re-coup what I paid for them so they can return home where they belong. I did not want them to go into the trash, as I know what it means from my own searching what finding lost family photos, wills, marriage certificates means. Some appear to be wedding or anniversary photos. Starting my own search really has made me addicted and anytime I come across labeled photos or documents from now on, I am grabbing them to find their true owners. Family photos alone are treasures, but this is not my family treasure and may be yours. Anyone with any info, please contact me at calmquills@gmail.com. Apparantly they had kin persons at Palmyra, NY. At some point they were in St Lawrence County, NY. OWEN THOMAS fISHER marr CYNTHIA MARILLA BROMLEY in 1868. Her parents were AMI FULLER BROMLEY, born 1812 in St. Lawrence County, NY. The FISHER Family that arrived feom England settled in Palmyra, NY. Their mother was CHARITY KITCHENHAM. The children were ROBERT lANGRIDGE FISHER, MARY TURNER, JOHN LANGRIDGE, CHARITY, LAURA LOUISE, WILLIAM HENRY, EDWARD LANGRIDGE, Notice that three men all carried the name LANGRIDGE as a middle name. I believe that they had FISHER relatives in Palmyra that arrived in the USA earlier. Eventually the whole clan moved, lived and died in Michigan. While in England the family lived in Wadhurst, which I think is in Kent County. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. My Great Grandfather, Robert H. Fisher's second wife was an Eudolphia Todd originally from Maryland; however, our family records seemed to think her name was Mary Alice Todd. Eudolphia was previously married to a fellow named Jackson. I have been unable to locate their marriage record (Robert & Eudolphia), but they were married sometime between 1870 and 1880. Robert's first wife, my great grandmother, died in 1870 in Missouri. Both Robert and Eudolphia are buried in Missouri. I have photos of their tombstones. If this could be the person you are looking for, please let me know as I can get you in touch with someone who should be able to provide you with the information you are looking for regarding their children.
