    1. [FISHER] Lucinda Rinearson Fisher
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: mahorn1955 Surnames: Rinearson, Fisher Classification: obituary Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.fisher/8001/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Huntington Herald August 6, 1897 Lucinda Rinearson was born in Fayette County, Ohio, December 24, 1824. Came to Huntington County, with her parents when ten years of age, and lived in Wayne Township, this county, a period of eleven years. She was united in marriage to John D. Fisher, December 28, 1884. To this union were born three children. One son, who died in infancy, and two daughters, namely Charlotta, who departed this life January 12, 1877, and Harriet E., who survives her mother. The husband and father departed this life December 25, 1890. Sister Fisher united with the Christian (Newlight) Church when eighteen years of age, but was not converted until some days after, and when all alone in her father's woods she realized the converting power of God, which power seemed o lead her for at least one-half mile, when everything around was invisible to her sight. She ever after led a kind, quiet and unassuming life, which made for her many friends. For about two years previous to her death, at times her suffering was great, and just before her last and final suffering she remarked to her granddaughter that she was ready and hoped that the next attack which caused her such intense suffering might be her last. On the morning of August 3rd, at 1:30 a.m., she quietly passed away, being aged seventy-two years, seven months and ten days. Funeral services were held at Monument City, Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock, and were attended by a host of relatives and friends. Rev. Cain of Andrews officiated. Fisher. His parents were John H. Smith & Hannah Smith of the Borough of Port Corbon, PA. George had another brother, John who stayed with the the Smith family. There may have been two other brothers. George's mother, Hannah, was dead at the time of the adoption. George and John were my uncles and I am trying to find any family they had to give them this information. George and his brother John married my mother's two sisters, so I knew them unil their death. I hope family are looking for them. Author: thumbscat Surnames: Roberts, Fisher Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.fisher/7380.2/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Grace Agnes Fisher's maiden name was ROBERTS. In the letter of 1967 she refers to Ross as 'Jack', which family called him (by names on pictures). It seems he is still alive but perhaps not well, and also does not appear to be living with Grace. She sends his birth certificate and Railroad passes (from when he worked there) to a niece. Also in the letter is reference to Helen, who is younger and of help to the aging Grace. Grace does not think Helen would appreciate these items. Hopefully someone else out there has a clue. My goal is to find out when Grace and Ross died, where they are buried. etc. etc. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
