FROM YOUR LIST CUSTODIAN: Two separate items here. 1. You are replying ON THE LIST to a message that was "gatewayed" to the List (as a courtesy) from the Message Boards. In order to reply to a "gatewayed message," you need to click on the URL provided with the Message, and reply on the Message Board (a web page). 2. All Mailing List transactions are conducted in "plain text" only, with NO attachments. That is part of RootsWeb's filter system of deterrents to virus infestations, as well as to spam. The solution in cases such as the one you envision is to post the photos at some friendly web site and then provide the URL to that page on this List, or on the Message Board. There's also two George's and a John thrown in the mix. I've been working with Greg PHILLIPS these past few days and believe we're looking at three potential brothers: John, George, and David with John as the father of Elias and a younger George, and David as my ancestor. McCoy, well-known Gringo funeral director who was killed instantly in an accident Monday afternoon on his farm, are to be held at two o`clock Thursday afternoon in the family home. McCoy was killed when he fell from a truck on his farm and the wheels passed over him. Death was due to a fractured skull, according to Deputy Coroner Mrs.H.C.McCarter. An Aliquippa physician was summoned immediately but pronounced McCoy dead on arrival at the scene of the accident. Mr. McCoy had been a funeral director in the Gringo district for more than twenty-five years. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Marie McCoy; three sons, Norman McCoy, U.S.Army in Tennessee, Kenneth and James E. McCoy at home; one daughter, Mrs. Helen Miller, Porterville; two brothers, Will McCoy of Aliquippa, and Mont McCoy, near Aliquippa, and four sisters, Mrs. Edna Fisher, Ellwood City, Mrs. May Miller, Clinton, Mrs. Fay Scott, New Brighton, and Mary McCoy, at home. I found this partial obit in the papers of my late GAunt Mildred (Conn) Ramsey. I do not have more info, dates or know the newspaper, but I hope this much helps.

They were James and Jane Fisher. Their children were Hannah, Alice, Cephas, Mary, Thomas, James, John, Hiram, Jane, and Elizabeth. I know Cephas was born in York Co. in 1744 and married when they lived briefly in Tennessee between PA and OH. I believe Hannah and Alice did not move with the rest of the family--they may have been married by then. But Cephas and Rachel Stanfield Fisher had a daughter named Hannah. Sorry I don't know the birth date, but she would probably have been born in Ohio after 1804. Another one of their children was a son named Samuel, who was my great-grandfather, and I know he moved to Indiana some time before his son Ira was born in 1870. I'm trying to trace that part of the family history. Hope this helps.

James served in the Revolutionary War (in spite of being a Quaker!). They moved to Virginia, North Carolina, and Tennessee before arriving in Highland Co., Ohio in 1804. Their children were Hannah, Alice, Cephas, Thomas, James, John, Hiram, Jane, and Elizabeth, although I don't think the two older daughters moved to Ohio with them. Cephas and his wife did. Their children were Thomas, James, Cephas, John, Samuel, Rebecca, Rachel, and Hannah. Samuel's son Ira was born in Indiana, and I am trying to find the trail from Ohio to Indiana. Hope this helps.

Ohio, in 1804. They originally came from York Co, Pennsylvania. Their son Cephas and his wife Jane Atkinson apparently moved with them, along with Cephas's siblings. These Fishers were Quakers and their lineage is well documented in Quaker records, but I've lost track of them in Ohio. Cephas's and Jane's son Samuel was my great grandfather, and he apparently moved to Indiana before my grandfather's birth in 1870. Possibly your N.B. is a sibling of my Cephas or another branch of that family. Hope this helps. (If you get this account twice--sorry! I couldn't tell if it sent the first time or not.)
