Benjamin Fisher married Lydia Summerlotte in 1841, in Holmes. Later their son, Ernest (b. 1837) moved to IL. Ernest's parents were from PA, and Benjamin may be the son of John and Christina fisher from Berk's CO, PA. Perhaps your Isaac is a nephew or cousin?

John, Sounds like what is happening to the family my Fishers married into...the farthest I can get back is where the father signed the marriage certificate stating he gave his approval. This is the grandfather of the man the Fisher woman married. Jacob Denton was the grandfather-in-law (in this case...out-law) of the Katherine/Kathrene Fisher that I am searching for. His son, in the 1900 census says his father was born in Tennessee and in the 1910 census says his father was born in Missouri!!! Confused yet??? John F. Fisher was b. about 1842 in NJ (taken from census) and married Mary Elizabeth Coykendall. They had 6 children, including my ggrandfather, Edward b. 27 May 1870 in Matamoras, Pike, PA. In an article from the Commemorative Biographical Record of Northeastern Pennsylvannia about Emanuel Coykendall and children (in this case Martin) it states that daughter Mary E. [Coykendall],[is the] wife of John Fisher, a railroad conductor of Middletown, NY. This article was written in 1900. Hi! All the male children in my line have been named John Fisher, back to my Great-great-grandfather. Probably further than him but, I've been stuck at him for 20 frustrating years! I wish that I could have known my Great-grandfather. He had a diabolical sense of humor. Every time the census-taker came around he gave them different information! I can imagine him chuckling as the census-taker walked down the path thinking, "What a cooperative man Mr. Fisher is. So forthcoming with his information. No hesitation at all!" I know they were the parents of 13 children, including a set of twins named Ray and Ed (b. 2/9/1897 or 1900), in or around Tuscola, Illinois. We don't know if "Ed" is short for Edward, Edwin, Eldon, or something similar, but the family stories have him being "lame" and "unadoptable", and killed in action in WWI (probably in France, as my grandfather, Ray, says he saw it happen). There was another daughter, Amy, who was told to us to be a Vaudevillian performer of some kind. We know there was also another brother who lived in the area of Lander, Wyoming, but don't know his first name. These children were orphaned at fairly young ages, due to an accident involving a train killing their parents. Hi Bea, I have Fisher's and Weaver's. My Weaver's went from Pa. to Ohio, one to Mi. and the rest to Or. My Fisher's from Pa to Ne. and Mi. ILL. and Or. I am looking for an M. Fisher last known to be in Shelton, Ne. And looking for a George, Ray A., and Emery S. Weaver think in Gladwin, Mi. These Weaver's are brother's. M. Would any of the researchers of Fishers in the Dekalb Co. TN area or Smith Co. area know why three children who were known by their mothers maiden name of Pitman in 1870 are shown in the 1880 census as Fishers as she has married. Sue, do you by any chance have a William Fisher married to Lucy Sherrow in the late 1890's somewhere in Missouri. I have a Katherine Fisher (who is the daughter of said William and Lucy) born 1901in Calhoun, Henry County, Missouri married to Clarence "Mike" Denton and live in Mountain View, Howell County, MIssouri till they died.
