Valentine Fisher b. 25 Dec 1817, in Germany, d. 8 Nov 1882 in Hickory twp, Schuyler Co., IL. He married Mary Severns 27 Feb 1845?? in Coshocton Co., OHIO. Son Samuel Perry Fisher b. 27 Feb. 1846, son Jacob Stanton b. 24 Aug 1847. In 1848 the family moved to Hickory twp., Schuyler Co., IL. Two more children were born in IL. Mahalia and I have not found the other one. Samuel Perry was my greatgrandfather, he married Lutisha Workman and my grandmother Nellie Fisher Kays was their youngest. Hello Norman, If you are related to the second FISHER FAMILY, then we are cousins. My line goes; ANTHONY, DANIEL, ISRAEL, ABIJAH; SYLVESTER SR., SYLVESTER JR., GEORGE, MARY JANE FISHER-MACK(GEORGE MACK), ELBERT LEO MACK, HAZEL MACK, BETTY HUNTER(living), and me, Sandy(Sandra Sue Smith-Parrish). We have a website at www.kenparrish.com There is a picture of George Mack, born in Perrysville, OH, 1928. Sylvester Sr. and JOSEPH JONES JR., an American Rev. War Vet., came to OH around 1818. LYDIA JONES married Sylvester(born VT.) but I will never be able to prove the marriage as the Richland Co. OH marriage BOOK 2 has been missing for over 44 years! The church burned around 1865!! Of course I have letters Lydia wrote in a couple law suits....and Joseph's will. Joseph was born in Harvard, Worcester, MA. I thought I had Sythi narrowed down to Dawson from Bourbon Co Ky but now am not sure. Albert (Alfred) was born in Ky accourding to the census of Calwood in Callaway Co, Mo born about 1818. I do not know wyh it is so hard to find him but it is. I do not know his parents names or anything and only census I can find him in is Calwood in 1850 and 1880. It is so fustrating. My Albert or Alfred Fisher married a full Cherokee named Sythi Dawson and he may have had Cherokee blood too. Any of these names in your tree. I am desperate to fine them. The well-known family was started with JOSHUA FISHER, who came to New England in 1639 and settled in Dedham, Massachusetts. His daughter, MARY, married in 1648, Thomas Battle -- one of my ancestors. His brother, ANTHONY, who also came over to Dedham, had a son named DANIEL -- but he was not related to the Daniel in another part of my genealogy. DANIEL FISHER married Hannah Hill in about 1662 in Taunton, Massachusetts. We do not know yet his origin, whether he was born in England or in New England; I am guessing that he would have been born around 1640 or so. Hannah was born in Dorchester, a daughter of John and Frances Hill. Both Daniel and Hannah died in Taunton, but I am not sure when. They had nine children; one of those was Israel Fisher. ISRAEL FISHER was born on 27 May 1680 in Taunton, and married someone called Susannah (name not known). They had five children (on records we can find). One of their children was ABIJAH FISHER, born 8 August 1720, and married Mary Washburn, a descendent of a long-line of a family (started in 1632) who were in Plymouth and area. Wish I could be of help Marsha, but this is all I have except for some of the siblings from the lines. But none seems to have moved out of the surrounding area that I mentioned. My line of Fishers's are so hard, can't believe that I can't connect with anyone. I have connected with one of the son's of Joseph and Catherine's line, but he had more info on the Deaner's than I did, as I had more info on Isaac's kids.
