Surnames: Fischer Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/YaW.2ACIB/965.1 Message Board Post: Maybe a connection here: my grandfather Edward Fischer who was from same area owned a smoke shop/newspaper stand which is still there today below his home on Forest ave.in Queens very near that brooklyn area.So close in fact that growing up I walked up Dekalb ave to Myrtle ave.to go to the local supermart.If I continued I could reach my Grandfather home in about 15 minutes.Anyway there are alot of Fischers still there in both neighborhoods.Maybe there is a connection there somewhere.
