I have a Johan Fischer in Germany with three sons: Karl, Charles and James and six daughters, names yet unknown to me. The son Karl is the only one I have info on. He was born Feb. 24, 1852 in Frienwalde, Pomern, Preusian, Germany. He changed the spelling of his name to Carl Fisher when he came to America at age 21, and worked in Caledonia, Wisconsin. On Jan. 28, 1878 he married Bertha Augustia Garska / Gerska in Portage, Wisconsin. They moved to Nebraska and had the following children: Anna Adalia, Rose Maria, William Anton, Martha Helena, Henry, Carl, Benjamin, Elsie, Frank and Mabel. Carl died in a wagon accident on Nov. 4, 1903.
