He was 1 years old on the 1930 census from Platte Co., Nebraska. Their parents were Charles Fischer and Hattie Daniels from Illinois, and there were older siblings-Lillian, Lucille, George, John, Leona, Edward, Ruth, Charles Jr., Hattie, and Christian. This may or may not be the same Alvin. I haven't been able to find out anything about this side of my family. My grandfather is the youngest of the family and "doesn't remember" anything to share.
