Although I don't have any information on your Fischers, my line may have some connection. My great-grandfather Mathias Henry Fischer relocated from Chicago abt 1908 to Medina twp Dane County WI, married and started a dairy farm. I always thought it odd that a broomaker's son from Chicago would uproot and get into farming without any existing family ties to the area. His wife's (Caroline Stangler) family were well established in Jefferson county and eastern Dane. 1. MATHIAS HENRY2 FISCHER (?1) was born Abt. 1861 in Illinois, and died June 29, 1930.
