    2. I'm not Al, but my Fischer line is..................... Ludwig Fischer, sp. Gusta (Berg) Fischer, dau. Gustina Wilhelmina (Fischer) Balfanz. All born in Germany, location unknown. Gustina married Hermann Balfanz in Stillwater, MN. about 1881. Gustina was of a large family, also living in Stillwater, MN. Some of Gustina's brothers and cousins were log rollers, first working on the St. Croix River working for lumber companies and then as entertainers. One of the best, Harold Fischer passed away within the last year, The Fischer logrollers have won contests all over the country. I have more names, but it is late and I'm about ready for bed. Any relationship? Let me kknow and I'll look trough my notes. Judy, in MN

    3. Interesting, I have a 1st cousin once removed, Harold Fischer who died earlier this year... I don't think your line is connected but I can't say for sure... My Fischer was born in Obersteinbach, Alsace in 1730 and had 7 children... We have traced the oldest boy who moved to Russia in 1800 and his family then came to the US in 1890's...
