His name was Frederick, he was born circa 1829 in Wuertemberg, Germany. By some route he came to Buffalo area: I have found the on the IGI a record of his marriage to Mary Louise Schneider on Jan. 11, 1848 in Eden, Erie County, New York. Sometime after their marriage they came to Niagara Falls, Ontario to settle, where I have located them on the 1871 census.There seems to be a definite Buffalo connection-I have stories of travel of my grandfather's generation back and forth to Buffalo-in fact my grandfather died in the hospital there. I thought that there might be a connection.
