They had six children: Frederick FISCHER (1856-1926) m. Catherine HASSLINGER (1859-1899); children Phoebe, Harold, Walter, and John H. FISCHER Amelia FISCHER (1858-after 1930) m. Henry L. WINTER (1857-1925); children Henry, Leo, William and Robert WINTER Louisa FISCHER (1861-after 1937) m. Frederick Miller FERGUSON (1853-1926); settled in Grinnell, Iowa; children Hallie, Gladys, and Kenneth FERGUSON; Hallie became Hallie FLANAGAN DAVIS (1889-1969) William Joseph FISCHER (1863-1924) m. Mary Elizabeth KEISER; settled eventually in St. Louis, Missouri; children Ralph Whitelaw FISCHER and Ira William FISCHER Bertha FISCHER (1866-after 1930) m. William D. THORNE (1864-?); child Julia THORNE married William Prentice KUHL Sophie FISCHER (1870-after 1945) m.
