Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/YaW.2ACIB/915.1 Message Board Post: Oh, how I hope so! My great grandmother was Anna Mae Fischer b. 1883 in NY, married Harry William Hendrickson and lived in Bay Shore. Her father, per his pipe, was Ludwig Fischer, however, he was known as William Fischer, and that is how he was listed on Anna's death cert. (the mother info is blank) He was in Metz in 1880, per the pipe, but I believe he was originally from Trier, Germany. I am assuming that the pipe was a going away present, as Anna Mae was born in NY. Anna is buried in Oakwood Cemetery in Bay Shore. I can't find where William is buried, however I remember my Mom remembering that Anna had to travel and was gone for a couple of days when he died, but that he was buried in the U.S. Hope this sounds familiar.
