    3. I am trying to locate the family 'Fischer' of Koblenz/Ehrenbreitstein/Bad Ems in the 1800's. The information I have is: GGrandmother Catharina Augusta Bertha Fischer born February 24, 1844, (home address Ehrenbreitstein) married July 26, 1868 Liebfrauenkirche, Koblenz, Egmont August deBlois born January 6, 1840. Egmont and Bertha came to USA, (Union Hill, NJ) on ship New York from Bremen arriving NY August 17, 1868. The brother of Catharina Augusta Bertha Fischer was August Fischer, musician, died 1876, married Elisabetha Seil (St. Kastor, Koblenz). I have found relatives (sisters-in-law, etc.) on films of St. Kastor and Liebfrauenkirche, Koblenz. There is mention of the City of Ems in a journal which belonged to Egmont August. However, I have not been able to find birth records of Egmont August deBlois or Catharina Augusta Bertha Fischer, and would greatly appreciate some help with this search.

    1. [FISCHER] Fischer - Flemingsburg KY
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Fischer - Worthington - Corcoran Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/YaW.2ACIB/923 Message Board Post: I inherited a boxful of old photos from my great uncle, R. Larkin Worthington. Many of people I know, a lot more I don't. THere's one family that appears with regularity, however, and the inscriptions on the back of the photos allow to identify them as three siblings, all with surname Fischer James William born Oct 1910 John Robert born May 31, 1913 Gladys Marie born July 15, 1914 Two of the photos associate them with Flemingsburg, Fleming CO, Ky. Based on this I was able to locate the family in the 1920 and 1930 Censuses, and the parents, James C and ELizabeth Fischer, in the 1910 KY Census. What I DON'T know, however, is how they are related. The best best would be that "Elizabeth" - the mother - is likely a Corcoran or a Worthington, those being the branches of my family most associated with KY but - who knows! Do any of these names seem familiar to anybody on this list? Michael Carroll mcarroll@uwo.ca
