One of their sons,HERMAN FISCHER was born 1881 in St Louis,MO. HERMAN married LIZZIE BURKHART. They moved to Los Angeles,CA. bat. 1910. Later they moved to Fontana,San Bernardino Co.,Calif., where they both died in their older years. Does any of this sound familiar to you? Johannes was born May 6, 1805 and his wife, Friederika was born January 9, 1805. They immigrated to the U.S. in June of 1857. They had nine children Johannes, Wilhelm Philipp, August, Friederika Magdalene, Wilhelmine, Wilhelm Phillip, Gottlob David, Phillip David, and Johanne Caroline. Their Citizenship Release Certificate is from Neckar County, Office of Cannstatt. I believe they could have been from Stetten Im Remstal but I have no documentation on that. Johannes supposedly held the office (similar to a sheriff) for 15 years with the satisfaction of William I. If anyone could give me further information on either Johannes or Friederika I would appreciate it.

It was certainly a large family at the time in the area and I have FISCHER's throughout my lines (marrying into the HIMMELBERGER, SCHUCHERT, and KEMP Families of Berks).
