I volunteered for the job as well as the GenConnect boards. The query board does have a manager but the other boards don't. I will be describing them in a later message. My Finks have one distinguishing characteristic. All of the males are named Rudolph or Albert. This has been the custom since brothers Rudolph and Albert Fink came to the US from Germany before 1850. One Albert Fink of note was a railroad engineer in the 1850's. He designed what is known as the Fink Truss Bridge. The last remaining one is on the National Register of Historical Places. It is located in Zoarville OH. Another Albert Fink was a lawyer in Alaska. His claim to fame is that he formalized the rules for the sport of dogsled racing. There are only 2 Alberts and 2 Rudolphs left of this line. as far as I can determine. They didn't tend to have to many children. Another first is my older step-daughter is the first female born in 3 generations. I am working on the Fink genealogy for my step-daughter. Her father is Albert Fink and his son is Albert Thomas-Breakwell Fink. Albert's brother is Rudolph and his son is also Rudolph. Albert the younger is the first one to have a middle name. So my monumental task is to sort out all of these Rudolph's and Alberts. Another interesting Albert Fink the one who as a supervisor of detectives for several different railroads, oversaw a team of operatives who were paid to go undercover and spy and inform on railway workers. These operatives were dubbed finks. I'm sure he was related to the railroad engineer in some way but don't have the connection. My step-daughter is descended from the immigrant Rudolph.
