Hi....My great grandfather was William Fink I.He was German.I just got a copy of the ships passenger list on which he came to the U.S.He came from Grunau and his final destination was Middletown,Ohio.He arrived on February 14th,1910 and was 17 years old.The strange part is that he changed his name.His name was Wilhelm Faukindini.When he got his naturalization cerificate he changed his name to William Fink.I have never heard the name Faukindini before and can't seem to find any other information on it.The only places I have seen it were on the back of his naturalization certificate and on the ships passenger list. He finally settled in Chicago,IL, married and had 2 children.He lived there until he died in the 1980's.He had several siblings.One of his brothers, Otto Fink came to the US and lived in Chicago too until he committed suicide when he was in his 20's.I know of 4 sisters too.They were Anna Bunchak and Ilka Bergmann(both lived in Germany),Catalina Habsuda (lived in Argentina) and Elma (lived in Chicago).Has anyone else come across this name or see a connection? Sorry if this all sounds confusing.Just trying to write everything at once....lol.Thanks! Britt Kalter
