Here once again is what I know about my Fink line (and it is very little). Jacob Fink, b. about 1829 in Bavaria or Wurtemmberg. Married (1). (Epher) ? and (2). Genevieve Esea. Epher (?) and Genevieve may be one and the same as they are the same age - born about 1832. Genevieve was born in Switzerland. Jacob and wife or wives had five children: 1.) Sophia Fink, b. 1854 in Ohio 2.) Frank Fink, b. about 1856 in Michigan or Ohio 3.) Clara Fink, b. 14 February 1859 at Joliet, Illinois, d. 8 July 1922 in Davenport, Iowa. She married John McDonald (1845-1930) 1883 in Davenport. 4.) Jacob Fink, b. 1865 in Illinois 5.) Genevieve "Jennie" Fink, b. April 1870 in Rock Island, Illinois. The family appears to have moved around - Ohio, Michigan, Illinois. They were in Joliet, Illinois in 1860 and in Rock Island, Illinois in 1870. In 1880, Genevieve, Frank, Jacob Jr., and Jennie were living in Davenport, Iowa - Genevieve listed as divorced. I've completely lost Jacob after 1870. Jacob was a stonecutter and may have fought in the Civil War. One of the daughters married a Zorn and was living in Los Angeles in 1922. That's all I've known for a LONG time! --John McDonald Grass Valley, California jmcd@oro.net
