Fellow listmates, While searching through the stacks at New England Historic Genealogical Society in Boston, my eyes fell on this book: Calendar of British Historical Manuscripts 1664-1776 The title page also said: In the Office of the Secretary of State, Albany, New York. It might be worth looking at as there are references to deaths, marriages, births, naturalizations, correspondence between NY and other colonies, and many, many, other matters. It is indexed and the description gives a Volume and page number to view the described document. Perhaps this will help you over some brick walls. I didn't find what I was looking for but found it very interesting. Dusti
