Dave, Another place you might consider checking is the Jewish Genealogy Society. I have attended some of their meetings here in Boston and HAVE ALWAYS learned something new. For instance, many of the customs of Eastern European Jews are not Jewish customs but of the European culture in which the lived. Many considered the German Jews very arrogant. This was due to the fact that the German states REQUIRED EVERYONE to be educated, while education of Jews in most of the other European countries was illegal. And another thing to consider: Is/was there a Jewish newspaper in Detroit when Moses died [or married]? I found a lot of good detail information in the one in Boston. Dusti
