    3. Gene, What are the dates on your Rudolph and Albert's? Do you have the descendants for all of them? Ohio has come up a lot in my research, but I'm not sure yet why. You can e-mail me privately at muesic@msn.com. Hope to hear from you soon! This line sounds fun to research! The first Albert Fink's grandson was born in Nome Alaska. He became a lawyer and formulated the rules for dog sled racing. He later moved to San Francisco. While there he was Al Capone's lawyer in his tax evasion trial. He lost that one. His son, Rudolph Fink was in the army air force in WWII. He was also an engineer. He holds 17 patents obtained while he was on active duty. One of them was for the automatic shutoff valve used in gas pumps today. Since he was in the military, he got no monetary gain from them. He retired and became a chicken farmer in Biloxi MS. He father-in-law was Horace Hickam, the man that Hickam AFB in Hawaii is named after. Rudolph's son Albert is my step kids father. He didn't do to much. He hasn't held a full time job since about 1978. He divorced their mother a year before his mother died and he got a $300,000 inheritance which he promptly blew. I married their mother 2 years ago. The kids are wonderful smart kids. Glory is 20, runs her own business. Albert is 19 and a computer student, Laili is 14 and a published poet. They got some good genes from their ancestors. I'm researching Albert the Lawyer's wife's family now. She is sort of a mystery. Laura Meigs and her 4 sisters were brought to Alaska during the Alaskan Gold by their mother. They all supposedly married well. At least Laura did. I got sidetracked on the family of Return Jonathan Meigs. He was one of the first settlers in Ohio. His son was US Senator and Governor of Ohio. He also served as Postmaster General. A grandson was an engineer that built army forts. Another was one was one of the first doctors to specialize in medicine for women and pediatrics. His son followed him into the medical field. I just can't prove that the Laura Meigs I'm looking for came from that family. I found 8 biographies of Meigs and 4 for Finks. In all of those bios, there is only one mention of a wife and that was only a note.
