    3. I have the two issues of the Guilford Genealogist in which Sueanne Field has written a comprehensive article regarding the Field family in Pennsylvania and North Carolina. I do not want to copy this information because of copywright infringements but there is a lot of information here. If you have a question about this period from 1743 to some in the mid-1800s I will try to find the answers. Patience

    1. [FIELDS] DUDLEY in Elbert Co., GA and Roane Co., TN
    2. William DUDLEY was an early resident of Wilkes Co., GA where he can be found prior to 1790. After that date, he and his wife, Mary, are found in Elbert County, Georgia where they resided as late as 1811. William Dudley can be found in Roane Co., TN tax lists by 1814. Soon after that, he disappears from tax records and it is believed he probably died about 1815. No will or estate administration has been found for him in Roane County. William Dudley's birth date is unknown at this time. He was perhaps born about 1750/55. It is thought he was a brother or father to Mary "Polly" Fields, wife of Jeremiah FIELDS (b.ca 1765/70) who also resided in Elbert Co., GA and who preceeded William Dudley in moving to Roane Co., TN. Jeremiah and Polly Fields named a son, "William Dudley Fields," and they also gave William Dudley a power-of-attorney to sell their lands in Elbert Co., GA when they moved to TN, all indicative of a close relationship, perhaps familial. I wish to correspond with anyone researching this Dudley family. Your response is appreciated. C. Ward [email protected]

    3. Looking for information on Mary Skirginia Seal Birth: date unknown, around Newport News Died (relatively young) around March 5th, 1945 in Wilmington, NC Buried in Warwick, VA She married first James Clifford Fields and had one son, James Clark Fields (my father-in-law). Second married Mr. Mayo and had one son, Frank Mayo. (James Clifford Fields remarried as well, had no other children, and died (and is buried in) Claxton, Georgia). I would like to find out more about Mary's line. My FIL doesn't know who her parents were or even where she was buried. He was only about 9 when she died. She committed suicide and died en-route to a hospital. Thank you very much, Tara Fields.

    1. [FIELDS] TC Fields circa about 1880
    2. married Tisha Phillips Flynn in May of 1910. she was a widow with 3 children. Their child Hazel was born in sept 1914 in Anadarko, Oklamhoma. Tisha was half cherokee. TC was killed...in the 1920's we think. I have a picture of him, large framed tall man with strong lantern type jaw (jay leno!) standing crossed armed with a pistol in one hand and a knife in the other. Tisha was widowed in Texas, so they may have met there. He is our mystery man, known only to surviving family as "TC", I guess this is a shot in the dark, but this research is such fun, I thought what the heck!! Any info gratefully accepted. sandi osborn
