    2. Fianna is a very good resource. Also, go to http://www.groireland.ie/faqs.htm for information about civil registration. As I am not sure of the locations, I am finding it difficult to make a start as to where I should start looking. If you could assist me by clarifying some of the areas, that would be a great help. The only information I have is: Rose Ann Duffy born 1878 in County Derry. She immigrated to Scotland with her parents. James Duffy (father of Rose Ann), born 1846 County Derry, his wife's name was Elizabeth (nee Fergusson), was born in 1852, Ballimo County, Antrim, Londonderry. I have the 1871 Scottish Census record for the family. The following were siblings of Rose Ann: William & Arthur - born in County Derry, Michael - born in Londonderry. My grandmother told me that Elizabeth Duffy (nee Fergusson) came from Ballimo County, Antrim, Londonderry. The Scottish census papers states her birth place as County Derry. Are these places around the same area or is there a little confusion happening here? Is County Derry and Londonderry the same area also? I would appreciate any assistance or guidance in how I can trace these families. Thanking you Lynn Morshead Townsville, Australia ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to FIANNA-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message ________________________________________________________________________ Check Out the new free AIM(R) Mail -- 2 GB of storage and industry-leading spam and email virus protection.
