Joseph was born in 1825. His parents were James and Margaret Regan. He married Sarah Goslin aproximately 1850. Sarah Goslin's mother was Ellen Moynihan her parents were Timothy and Catharine Moynihan. Joseph, Sarah and Ellen emmigrated to Boston on the Bark Swift in May of 1851.
