    3. Hello all! Guess it is about time to say where I stand on the subject of what I see as spam. Anything concerning Irish roots and/or genealogy in Ireland, the British Isles, or anywhere in this world is welcome to be posted to this list, as is Fianna class business. If you have a problem with a particular letter or subject that is posted to Fianna Mailing list please address it to me, do not write it to the list! (What we do not need, are 30 lettlers all posted complaining about one posting. That is how wars and flame wars start. ) I will review the letter and give you my opinion within 24 hours normally. I won't guarentee that you will be happy with my opinion, but it will be done according to the guidelines. Occasional humor is allowed, as long as tasteful and hopefully related to genealogy. If attacks continue on the list, instead of coming to me I will remove the offender from our list. Sorry to have to take a tough stand, but I have watched other international genealogical groups get destroyed by wars like these. We are listed on several genealogy help pages as this for a purpose: FIANNA. A mailing list for those who are researching Irish ancestry and history to discuss ways of improving their skills in searching for their Irish ancestors. Subscribers are welcome to post questions and information regarding sources and methods for Irish research. Specific questions on individual ancestors are beyond the scope of the list. Interested individuals may want to check out The Fianna: Irish Ancestry & History Research web page (http://www.geocities.com/heartland/meadows/4404/). Remember, we are here to help eachother. We like to have meetings posted so anyone of you can get the information, where otherewise you might not. We like people to tell us neat sites, as that is how we put together our initial webpage. We gathered addresses and reviewed them, to see if the concensus of our group liked them and thought they were a good research tool. If you are in doubt, when writing a letter, ask me. Most things are permitted. Thanks Laura L Schmidt aka Cloudy schmidtm@3-cities.com
