I am at a dead end on John Doyle (born Ireland somewhere !!) & Elizabeth Sweet who by 1846 were in Melbourne, Australia, and having children. John was a goldminer (so it is possible he came to Australia via the USA). I cannot find a record of their marriage in Australia. I do so hope that someone can help me with this couple (perhaps find their marriage) as Doyle is a major surname in my ancestry and I have had no luck with them. They named their eldest son John Henry Doyle so Henry might be a clue to something. Death records in Australia do not help as I found 62 John Doyle people.
