I am trying to find information on a Rev Timothy Sheedy who was supposedly shot in chains before leaving British Waters. This may have been c 1800. Possibly from Clare,Limerick or Tipperary. Would anyone know where can i start. I gather if he was in chains he must have been arrested - would there be records for same? And also - would there be records of his becoming a priest?
