    3. I found an email at one time on one of these mailing lists that said there is a pattern that was followed when the Irish were naming their children. Later, however, someone else had another one listed, similar, but different. I can send it to you if you would like it. But there is a ring to them, only you cannot depend on every relative to follow them. My great-grandfather never even came close to following it. (He was off the boat, too!)
