I am searching for birth and marriage details about Catherine SINNETT who was born in Arklow, Co Wicklow c 1795 but probaly married in Co Cork somewhere to someone SHINNICK. She emigrated in 1841 to Australia as a widow with her two sons Michael George b 1820 and John James b 1825. Also would someone please comment on the movement of people from Wicklow to Cork following/during the 1798 rebellion. I have noted a few military SINNOTTs in the Cork and Wicklow records while her grandson, my great grandfather, was somewhat absorbed with army matters in Australia and eventually became a sergeant major in the S.A.
