Hi fellow genealogy buffs, Laura Schmidt has graciously given me permission to announce here on Fianna-L the formation of a new mailing list called Irish-Kings. It is intended to be a focussed list made up of those persons researching the KING surname who already know that their ancestors originated in Ireland. It is quite small at the moment, and will probably always be a low-traffic list, but it is hoped that it will become a good resource. Irish-Kings is a private, semi-moderated list. What this means is that subscribers will be approved by the listowner (me!) before confirmation of subscription. Not to worry...this is just a safeguard to keep out spammers. Semi-moderated means that I reserve the right to step in, for example, to stop egregious flaming, etc. However, I don't intend to hover over the list like a mother hen; I want it to be "our" list. If you'd like to subscribe, send an email w/ no subject and no content to: irish-kings-subscribe@makelist.com You will receive an "official" invitation to join shortly thereafter....just hit "reply" and send it off (it'll automatically have the correct address, etc.), and you'll then receive confirmation of yr subscription which will contain all the info you'll need to post to the list, read the archives (when we have some, LOL), unsubscribe, etc. Thanks for taking the time to read this, and I hope you can join us!
