I have referred specifically to the above and to other sources. KILCONE - There is a "parish" location of KILCOAN which is situated adjacent to a then existing Lough/Lake ? Today the place would be best described as being directly north of the Burrow of Balteigue on Balteigue Bay. There is/was a Castle by the same name nearby on the most southern part of that coast, Crossfarnague Point (aka as Forlorn Point). It is also spelt as Crossfarnage Point. FACUINSHANE - There is a Tacumshane "parish" location on the northern shore of Tacumshane Lough/lake. It is spelt as Tacumshin Lake in a later map (1900) You know where this particular lake is. BALLEVALDEN - Ballyvaldon is how it appears in my maps. However in James Ryan's "Irish Records" it is shown optionally as Ballyvald(e/o)n. The place would be about 2-3 miles north of Blackwater & Blackwater Harbour - but slightly inland from the coast. My thoughts are that there would have been only one school in the area at this period. I do not know the denomination. CHURCH/SCHOOL QUERIES - I send this in a separate post. FAROUAMILLE - You've got me "stumped" with this one! Will you kindly confirm the spelling. Do you have any idea at all where this place is? Is it on a County Border for instance?
