Could it be Marso or Marseau ? That is my gggrandmother's maiden name and it is quite rare. However, on the FamilyTreemaker site, there is the home page devoted to the descendants of Jean Marseau, her father, of Luxembourg, near the current-day border with Belgium. She and her brother Frank came over in the 1840s. She stayed in New York but most of her brother's family went on to Wisconsin and changed to name to Marson, then Morson when some moved to Minnesota. We are trying to locate Frank's two oldest girls, who apparently married before the move to Wisconsin. Their names are Margaret and Elizabeth, born 1835 and 1837. All were Catholics. Sharon Carberry
