Here list , anyone that can help her? *********** Hi Laura! I hope that things continue to be quiet for you, as my problem is a real humdinger! My ggrandfather, Robert Gavagan, son of Elizabeth (Burns) and Thomas Gavagan, claimed on his naturalization papers (Boston, 1852), that he'd been born in 1830 in Boyle, County Roscommon, Ireland. County Roscommon Heritage & Genealogy Ctr. ($45.) reported that there was no record of his having been born there. (Did Robert lie about this?) My second befuddlement is that I recently received information that my other ggrandfather, John G. Sullivan, born Dec. 1824, son of Catherine (?) and Jeremiah Sullivan, lived in Kenmare, County Kerry. A kind person on the Internet offered to do a look-up on John G. for me, and sent word that there was no record of him having been born there. I hope that these two relatives of mine - one with the most common of names, the other with a name spelled so that no one ever heard of it - will present an interesting enough challenge for you to want to check them out. I fervently hope so! I'll hope to hear from you. Many thanks! Fran Weeks - Southeastern Massachusetts, USA fifi@pop.ma.ultranet.com
