Bill, thank you for the background on memorials/deeds. It has significance to me since I was examining the grantor index books in the Registry of Deeds in February when I was in Dublin. I also looked at some of the books sorted by locality and saw what must have been the memorials, which were fairly difficult for me to read (Gothic German script is harder). I have just joined the FIANNA list, so I don't know what your questions have been. On the handful of newsgroups I read everyday, I occasionally post a question and many times I get no response. However, twice now in about a year, I have gotten excerpts of private diaries which were very meaningful for my family history. I never would have known that about the life of that period and the mentions of my family without those individuals stopping to type it all and send it to me.
