For new list members, I am listing my great grandparents for whom I am searching info on their parents, siblings and specific dates and places of birth in Ireland. John CORCORAN,dob about 1829 in Kilkenny, Ireland. He married Anna Stack on May 27, 1860 in Old St. Joseph's Church in Philadelphia, PA.They had three children: John Martin, Catherine and Joseph Aloysius(my grandfather) The family lived at several addresses-principal address was 217 Delancey Street(formerly Union Street) Philadelphia. George CONCANNON dob about 1827 in County Donegal, Ireland. He married Isabella SWEENEY(dob about 1829 in Ireland) about 1850- family lore indicates Wilmington, Delaware. Their nine children were all born in Philadelphia- the first Cecelia Ann was born 12/14/1851; the other children were James, John Patrick, Mary Josephine,George Edward, Isabella. Thomas Joseph, Catherine Philomena(my grandmother) and Edward. George CONCANNON'S PARENTS were James and Cecelia CONCANNON. James CONCANNON was a baker in Donegal, Ireland and dies before the famly came to the U.S.. George had been a school teacher in Donegal. George with his mother Cecelia and brothers Edward, Patrick Joseph and Thomas, and sister Catherine came to the U.S. about 1845/50. The CONCANNON family lived at 324 Spruce Street. My grandparents Joseph A. CORCORAN and Catherine P. CONCANNON were married in Old St. Mary's Church, Philadelphia, PA. ON 11/25/1896. They had eight children; Kathryn de Sales, Joseph A., Jr, Isabella Anna, George Concannon (my father-dob 06/20,1903), Anna Marie, Edward Joseph, Francis and Dorothy. I would be very interested in any family connections in Ireland and in Philadelphia.
