Hi! To all of you who use "pretty white backgrounds or nice bold fonts" looks like your mail will be rejected by RootsWeb within the week. I have been in contact with Tim (the RootsWeb guru) this weekend and he is scrambling to fix the problem. See not everyone gets the rich HTML text as you see it. Some folks get it as a scrambled downloadable file, others get it as a horrible red background. Also to those of you who send attachments to the list, they will be rejected also! All of these types of messages are hard on the RootsWeb equipment, take more space on archives, take longer to send and are a pain to RootsWeb in general. My advice to you is to make certain that every letter you send to a mailing list is in "plain text"! If you don't know how to achieve this, please take a visit to: http://www.rootsweb.com/rootsweb/listowners/html-off.htm Sorry for the repeat warning, we have very few offenders, but figured you would all like to know! When this happens, more than likely some folks are going to be upset that their posts did not make it to the list, or that this list maintainer converted it to plain text and forwarded it with a note that said originally sent by "members address" in illegal format.
