Our Conroy/Conry believe to have come to Brooklyn,NY cc 1887 Thomas (Dennis) Conroy, b 1865 to Tho,Conry & Mary Costello in Cty Mayo Michael Joseph Conroy b cc 1865 where to who?????? Flaherty/Faherty & Forde Our Flaherty family came to Bklyn , NY in 1887, oldest daughter Mary b 1862 is my g.mother,born to Michael Flaherty/Faherty & Nora Forde in Annaghdown, Galway as is her other siblings. The entire family came to NY. Mary married Thomas Conroy Feb 24, 1889 in Bklyn, NY , would like to know what church . Trying to learn if Thomas did died in 1901 after fathering 7 children or go off with someone else. No death certificate as yet. One of Mary's siblings were Andrew Faherty who resided at 207 Moffat st, Bklyn, wife named Margaret, maiden name probably McDonald, had a sister Helen.In 1920 Helen their mother and what appears to be a child called Eleanor of 8 , parents were Andrew & Margaret all lived at this address. I only saw Andrew once or twice in my life time, never knew he had any children, this was a suprise to me,but then again learning that my father was one of 7 and not one of 2 in the recent years, nothing will suprise me now. Would like to find what the maiden name was for Nora Forde's mother, where many of this family now are, how is John Collins related to me and what happened to all my g,mother's siblings. Did my g.father come from Mayo, is he the one from Cong, did he died on the docks in an accident or run off? These are my gmothers siblings: Micheal, John, Margaret,Honor, Thomas, Patrick, Andrew, James, & Ellen. These are my father's siblings: Mary, Thomas, Nora,Annie, Margaret, Joseph. My father was Michael, Annie and Joseph died as children, have a feeling that Mary did also. Michael, Nora,Margaret & Joseph spent time in a home from 1905 May to 1907 June due to the suppose death of their father, this is where Joseph died within 3 months of being there.
