Searching for my grandfather as to what happen to him in 1905: Did he die or disappear? Thomas Conroy b. Ireland cc 1870 came to NY with wife Mary Flaherty Conroy and arr 14 May 1890. He worked the docks and they lived for the most part around that area in Brooklyn. Believe Thomas had a brother Michael Joseph Conroy, he is my aunt Margaret's god father in 1897 at St Charles Borroemo church at 21 Sidney Pl.Bklyn. One of their daughter's named Nora married cc 1912 to a Frances Phipps a longshoreman, they had 2 daughters Teresa & Honora. Both these girls married brothers name of Frances & Daniel William . To our knowledge only Teresa & Frances had any children a daughter named Kathleen. Last heard of in 1967 when Teresa's father died , they lived in Middle Village at that time. Are any of the Williams still alive, we have called most of the ones listed in the Queens & Bklyn phone book, nothing. Would anyone have any clue as to what became of any member of this family? I have had 3 searchs done in Ireland for a marriage of Thomas & Mary and 1 in England and nothing has been found. We know Mary parents but not the town or village she came from so Dublin can't find her birth certificate. Have done much work in the FHC. We are really up against that brick wall.
