Hi Paul, Good to hear from you. Yes there are quite a few Gernona and Dowdall marriages over several hundred year period. The Dowdalls married several different Gernons and Plunketts. I spent 5 weeks in Ireland and just returned. Had one full week in County Louth researching the Dowdall family and visiting the ruins of Athcarne Castle, Athlumney Castle, Monkstown and Causeway castles and so many other incredible places.
