Hi I haver been trying for some time to further findings of my family history. I have the 1827 tithing record of my GGparents families, McDermott's and Flannelly's, in the Townland of Caheredmond, Parish of Ballinrobe, County Mayo, Ireland. I have tried to get more info on the families, but have been unsuccessful. Can anyone tell me if the titled owners of the land in question, keep or kept records of their tenants in the early 1800's, and if so are they available for researching purposes? My ggparents, Patrick McDermott and Bridget Flannelly, both circa 1813, left Ireland with two children in the 1843-45 period and emmigrated to Canada, where their third child was born in July of 1845. I have not been able to find their marriage or children's birth records. I have all of the family history from 1845 forward in Canada and the USA. Can anyone help me? Thank You Jerome J. McDermott
