Hi All- I have not been too active lately but do download all the mail. Trying to get my genealogy together. Just got some info that requires about 20 snailmails to follow up. Though I have been printing the lessons for Ch32, I hadn't registered. Tried a couple of time the last two evenings but my registration didn't seem to go. Got an answer? Missed Chat again on Monday. Where and when on Thursday? Hope I remember! :-) re: Bruce Roorda and County mailing list. I subscribed to Co. Don(n)egal (their spelling):-), Co.Londonderry and Co. Down on Sept 18. Received queries on the 19th for Co. Down (Campbell, Stewart, Watson, Long) Thats all! I'm researching Co. Donegal. - Doherty - I have most of my connections there to 1819, when my anscestral family moved to New Brunswick, Canada. Know where all the Dohertys from this line are and quite a few other descendent (daughters) by other names are. Also have found the descendent family of my 4 X G-grandfathers 1/2 brother in Donegal Ire., living on the anscestral farmland. My Canadian anscestor kept good family records. The farm is in the Townland of Labadish, near Manor Cunningham, 10 miles West of Derry. Also - Fetters, Margory - she married William Doherty c-1790. William died in 1818 and Margory brought family of 5 to Canada in 1819. 2 sons, 3 dau. She may have been from the city of Derry. Co.Londoderry. - McLellan - Came from (Rosshire ?) Sct. c- 1745 to Londonderry. Left Ireland 1762 for Halifax Nova Scotia. His grandaughter married a son of the Doherty family from Ireland. Again good records and research of family members but vague on Scotland and Ireland info. Co. Down - McKitrick - My wifes line. From Scotland to Ireland - part of the "Plantation" (mid 1600's) (referances to Lord Dufferns estate near Killyleagh, Co. Down) McKitricks living in Downpatrick, Co. Down in early 1800's. Some coming to Quebec and Ontario from there. My wife anscestors family coming c- 1850 and her grandfather was born in Wakefield, Quebec in 1850. Looking for info on 1650 - 1850 time period. My Webpage URL is in my signature. Sign my Guestbook. Would also like comments on how it comes up on your machine and program. Seems to depend on what system you have.(?) This may have a bearing on some of the formatting of a site. Slainte, Hugh.
