Thought I would tell you all a new genealogy story. There was once a young girl who just started in genealogy. She was 13 and had been doing research back and forth for a couple of years. She found a query in a "Genealogical Helper" that had been placed a couple years before. It said her family ancestor's name and his wife's first name (but the last name was wrong). She decided to write this lady who had written the query. The lady wrote back that she indeed was her cousin, but she had found her information, and the girl could have "Happy Hunting" . She never answered any of the girls letters again. Well this girl searched for many many years (30 plus) until Thursday she was playing with http://www.familysearch.org . She put in her ancestors name (first and last) and his wife's first name. Wow she had a hit! The lineage back to the 100's (that is one hundreds) was there with hundreds and hundreds of more grandparents and aunts and uncles. The family stories of royalty proved true many times over! Now she has to go and PROVE all this research, but she does have the submitters' information and hopefully one of the submitters will help. The stories of being related to Mary Queen of Scots proved true along with many other Kings of Scotland, Norway, Finland and the monarchy of the British Isles. If any of you haven't tried this site it is a must do! Laura
