Desiree, Oh Yes, I remember the Biltmore. I don't remember if it was for dining or dancing, but it was at Madison Ave and 43rd St. It is not listed in any current NYC references that I have, but that can be expected. nearly all the hotels have changed names. I have looked at the NY AAA Guide but it doesn't have any hotel shown at that location. That doesn't mean that there isn;t one there only that they do not list it for bookings. If memory serves me correctly, the Biltmore was oriented toward business clients rather than tourists. All this can be wrong of course. My dating and dining days were in the late forties and fifties, rather than the thirties. To further confuse the issue, the Lexington Ave address you have, at about 47th St, could be the central management office for the hotel chain. (I'm not helping much, am I?) I will be in NYC in May and will difinitely be checking out Grand Central Station to see it's new look. It is only a block from the old Biltmore location, so I'll take a look. If you haven't found your answer by mid or late July, send me an email and i'll let you know my findings.
