It sure rings a bell, but it no longer exists. This is the hotel of note in Fitzgerald's novels, "Meet you under the clock", which is the little clock on top of the entrance to the lobby cocktail lounge. It also is part of Frank McCourt's new book, his first job after coming back to the USA in the 1940. I recall it as a midshipman at Columbia during WWII, where we met folks when we got leave on Saturday PMs. Tom Foley
