I've managed to trace my Mother's family from London back to the villages of Market Lavington and Urchfont in Wiltshire, to the ten children of Richard Ferris and his wife Jane, the above 5x GGrand parents. The eldest, John, was Baptised in Urchfont on 1 July 1746. Can anyone assist in finding where Richard came from, where and when he married and was born/baptised. Also Jane's maiden name. I've tried the usual sources mainly through the Wiltshire Family History Society but to no avail. There are Richards in the County but none married to a Jane > Thanks in expectation > Terry Basting > > ============================== > The RootsWeb WorldConnect Project: > Tens of millions of individuals... and counting. > http://worldconnect.genealogy.rootsweb.com/
