My branch of the name is from my Mother and can be traced to the villages to the south of Devizes, Wiltshire in England. To 1746 where in Urchfont the eldest child of my 5x Great Grandparents, Richard & Jane Ferris was baptised. The trail then goes cold.The villages are Shrewton, Orchestron's St George and St Mary, Tilshead, Market Lavington and Urchfont Marriage connections are:- BLAKE in Shrewton SAINSBURY in Market Lavington NEWMAN HARDING MUNDAY ALEXANDER WITCHELL SMITH STILES ASHER WILTSHIRE and possibly MOWER, all in Urchfont and STILL in Tilshead Anyone want to compare notes?
