Main Interests in Fermanagh: ARMSTRONG (Letterkeen, Mullanmeen, Dooraa), CREIGHTON (Rossharbour)Have already connected Armstrong tree with George Armstrong on this list, through a family letter, which demonstrated the usefulness of exploring parts of your tree forward rather than just working back. Have already connected with Margot though family tree DNA, our ancestors share the J-M172 haplogroup. But unfortunately our trees have not connected as yet. Also as Margot pointed out, a lot of our connections are Fosters and Forresters, so don't take it for granted that a Y-DNA test will trace your SURNAME back, as things may not be as they seem somewhere back on the paternal line.Through going to Mullanmeen and taking to a local resident (NOBLE), I was put in touch with living cousins from the Armstrong family from Mullanmeen, which also broadened my knowledge and connections as well as providing anecdotes and photographs that have helped add to the family history.I also have a local historian (John Cunningham) to thank, who helped identify photographs of my grandfathers, which located the region the Armstrong's had lived, as I knew that my grandfather had visited the area. Apologies for not contributing much to this list over the years, compared to the invaluable help I have received. Thanks. Mark
